Dorota Szumilas, A Good Polish Poet
How the heart beats of hearts get tongue to speak? This question may not be ever satisfied with advanced scientific technologies unless the poetic heartiest words to cope with. Because it’s the only authentic source to communicate the feelings worldwide and the strangers of different nations and cultures suddenly come into contact and then start sharing feelings with each others in a frank and friendly way. Dorota Szumilas,a good Polish poet who suddenly came into contact with me via internet and she has started clicking my heart and soul with her powerful poetic ideas with a very friendly mood. And cooincidently we being poetry friends have become enthusiastic to each other’s poetry within no period of time. Dorota, a middle age cute lady who got graduation in library science from Warsaw University and Papal Theological Faculty is working as a librarian in National Library Poland. She is the author of two books of her poetry and have also been part of anthology “Contemporary writers of Poland” 2nd ed. (ed. In USA, ed. by Danuta Blaszak) and poetical periodic “Poetry Today” (in Polish: Poezja Dzisiaj). The following poem “The World of Memories” is one of her best poems. In which she seems to be supportive to ‘sun light’ considering the ‘reality disclosing sourse of life’, that’s why she being a well literate person prouds to be known by her own name and personality. This poem is symbolically constructed and her core message of poem is ‘ the promotion of time based advancement’ . Here is her poem which has translated by Urszula Sledziewska very professionally. Means, dear Dorota is also one of us but what makes her particular in her life is her skillful poetic approach which successfully touch hearts of readers. She has a great sense of time and believes in non quitable struggles. Her ideas are targetted based as she has supportively expressed ‘ the courageous and fruitful efforts in life’ in following poem ‘Crystal’ with very sweet poetic verses…, Crystal as brittle as crystal that has diffused and nothing but dust shall remain… sense of time as we may comprehend it that will not do some day dust has dispersed after a slight blow of air wafted into the cloud complained and fell down a bit farer where the heart cried bitterly out of grief those former structures so beautiful transparent this is light reflected with a prism of life and those structures so beautiful so pure as the beating of our heart from the hiding beauty of crystal so brittle so weak just push it and there will be no sky so limpid above us nor crystal tear sad as we are it is so easy to turn something into dust and diffuse this dust with one’s force dust which wafted into the cloud complained and it is so difficult to build from dust …rust (Poem in Polish By: Dorota Szumilas and translated in English By::Annaya Chomczyk) Dorota is basically a romantic poet but the way she writes poetry is some how semi philosophical too. She speaks from her core of heart and wishes to address the hearts of readers. That’s why , in her poetry the concept of ‘love’ is seemed to be satisfying conscience in mulitiple dimentions i.e. ‘love for life and life for love’ is her motto and passion. Her poetic approach is selective and noticed positive as well. Let’s see Dorota’s firendly love in her poem “After A talk With Mt Friend” …, After a Talk with my Friend unspoken words… your silent heart are you talking to me or don’t you want to talk my friend are you hiding words of frendship because of your hurt pride fascination… with song poetry colour a human being unspoken words maybe silence mysteries read with your heart open only before God sensitivity… the world is creating show its piece and don’t hide it from me God thank you for this conversation it’s silence now and will remain beautiful silence (Poem in Polish By: Dorota Szumilas and translated in English By: Urszula Sledziewska) After reading and scrutinizing the poetry thoughts of Dorota, I observed that she appreciates peaceful life and believes in “staying in peace and let the other enjoy peace too” and this internal behavior is making her humanity lover too. I don’t know her personally but we being good poetry friends are in contact and sharing ideas and the best I judged in her invisible personality is her commitments to spoken and written words.thats why she is making me inspired. Here, I can say that she might be behaving in the same way she writes and talks. She has same intentions for ‘humanity based love’ as I do with pride and I think, this is our common sharing interst which bringing us closer to each other being good companions forpromotion of global peace . I really respect her and her friendly even too positive thoughts .. as she expressed here in this poem at her best expertise…, Silence and Echo solitude like silence falls off on the ground undisturbed waters transparent this silence of word silence of air this silence solitude nobody’s longing breaks against a bricked wall high wall like concrete thick and heavy this perfect peace at times larynx scream will wake up the silence disturb this constant reverie sorrow wants to leave or silence wants to play with the echo longer (Poem in Polish By: Dorota Szumilas and translated in English by: Annaya Chomczyk) Dorota Szumilas, who is a well known figure in Polish literature is keen to make her poetic vocice strong and reachable to different lingual readers too because she might intentionally want to be considered herself as memebr of global group being a child of Adam’s family. She is idealistic and wishes to get her dreams fulfilled. “Memory” memory of the heart reflects a gentle sound a soft note will remain in the silence the sounds reach high notes then soften just to blow away the silence once more and to enclose the radiance of the moment the sparkle in your eyes like the beauty of little moments gently falls to the ground little moments make up the radiance so beautifully read with your heart! I personally like her work and quite inspired from her way of dealing with. Because I found her as a knowledgeble person, good friend, kind hearted woman and a professional poet as well.
